heres what happened.

i blew a pressure hose on my indian.{yes thats a pontiac} so i was lasy and went to a shop. they replaced the hose by using a hydraulic crimp machine, so i noticed that something wasnt right.kinda rough. after.. it leaked right at the crimp. bad workmanship! i bought one a new one and installed. now my rack and pinion is leaking. how did this happen?. is it possible and too small of line due to constriction caused the r and p starved of oil and messed up the seal?

well mel as the old saying goes. " if you want something done right. do it yourself"..i messed up, is there a good stop leak to temporarily stop it. i tried two brands, well known but to no avail. but the parts house got r&p for 140. lifetime guarantee. time to bust knuckles again. you are probably right i did not factor in debris.
