...V6? I own a 1986 Pontiac Fiero GT with the 2.8L V6. I have had the car diagnosed and found that it does not show an oxygen reading. Upon startup, the engine will immediately begin idling at 2500rpm and stay there while I can hear a very audible hissing coming from behind my head. (The engine is in the rear.) After becoming warmed up, it will slowly idle back down to around 1300rpm. When revved or holding the throttle in, the hissing will stop. When the throttle is released the engine will again have to slowly start working the rev's back down. What is wrong with it and how do I fix it?!
It is extremely hard to drive a car in traffic that wants to idle at 3000 rpm!
