how can I keep the sliding door on my 2005 Pontiac Montana from opening back up...

...when I close it? It's the driver side passanger door. It gets almost closed then it opens up again by itself.
 
it should be under warranty thats very dangerous bring it back to the dealer and let them fix it fight imagine someone falling out because you didnt fix it right OR have that seat dedicated to your mother inlaw nobody sits there but her its your choice
 
the point of contact might need to be cleaned, it might be "reading" that something is in it's way so it re-opens so no injury is caused, hoepefully, it will be that easy.

My wifes van does it all the time. there is a weather seal on the inside of the door right above what sides the door open and closed on the bottom you can try that it just comes lose! hope it helps
