I have a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am, the change oil light came on, and even though I have changed the oil, it still refuses to go off. I heard you have to press some series of buttons to turn it off?? Any ideas?
Turn the ignition key to on, but don't start the engine. Press the gas pedal to the floor three times within 5 seconds. The dash should ding at you. Turn the key off, then you can start the car and the light should be off. I think it's in the owner's manual.
