I know I have to turn the knobs to adjust them but I'm not sure what way I have to turn them and how many times. I have tried to guess and check but I still can't figure it out and this info isnt in the owners manual. Any ideas?
No. The knobs do not adjust the lights. They are only there in case the motors quit running and you want to open or close the light.
There is no adjustment needed or available for the motor stop position.
They open/close till they hit stops in the mechanism and switches in the motor (the 87-88 lights use a module that senses this electronically) that turns the motor off.
Why do you think you need to adjust the position?
If the motors keep running when they get to the end, you have a stripped gear or broken switch.
Rodney Dickman sells repair parts for the motors.
