The limiter is in place to protect the engine from damage when the car isn't under load (not driving). I wouldn't recommend removing it (going into redline can seriously damage a motor unless it is specifically built to go above the factory redline), but if you want to do it, try looking at a diablosport predator, superchips, or hypertech computer programmer. On some of the programmers, they allow you to remove the speed governer and / or raise the rev limiter. Not for the faint of heart.
