i want to replace my stock speakers to my fiero with aftermarket ones, but im not sure how to get to them without ruining my dash, as i dont see any screws or anything leading to that area on either side. any help would be nice!

it might just have some clips but careful they break easy and it might also have hidden screws behind a few trim pieces

To access the front speakers you just need to use a wide flatblade screw driver or a small putty knife and carefully pry up the cloth cover. Start at a corner. There are 4 posts that push into rubber bushings holding the grill cover down. Once the grill cover is removed there are four 7mm screws holding the speaker.
You can see the cover lifted here:

For the rear speakers (86 thru 88 Fiero's) you need to remove the seat, the seatbelt ring and then the entire plastic panel to access the speaker. The grill cover for the rear are glued/melted to the panel. If you pry the grill cover off it will break.

There are some pics of my system here:

it's kinda funny you can take apart most of the center console and the dash with a 7mm bit a torque driver and a standard screw driver. lol. I just pulled apart my entire console yesterday fishing change, match books, and other random small deposits that were interupting my shift linkages.
