how do i know if my o1 pontiac grand am has on star?

ok so i have been looking to put in an aftermarket head unit in my car and when i go to buy the harness needed they ask me if i have on star or not...an i have no clue how to tell...i mean if the car has it built in i never used it or have an account with them or anything. So how do i tell?

If your inside rear view mirror doesnt have the onstar symbol along with a phone button and an emergency button, you dont have onstar.
