how do i restore a 1969 firebird 300?

my dad has got a 1969 firebird 300 convertible. He wants to restore it. He was told there is a website you can enter the vin number and it will tell you everything the car originally had. he had it repainted when he was young. It doesnt run obviously cuz he put it in storage when he was in his 20's. where can i go to find out everything the car originally had. he really wants to restore it.

a 1969 firebird CONVERTIBLE ? aside from sitting on a piece of gold...that car should have a museum quality restoration...any pontiac car club is a good place to start

www.phs-online.com this is the web site and I believe there is a $50 dollar charge for the documentation, also there is no 300. It can be a 350 cubic inch or a 400 cubic inch engine.
