how do you change the headlight bulbs in a 2002 pontiac sunfire?

there are 6 plastic pins that you're supposed to take out before removing the bolts to get to the headlights but i cannot take the pins out. I've tried using a flathead screwdriver to pry them out but i broke the head off of one and the bottom of the other. i'm worried that if i break all of them then the cover wont stay in place and itll cause more problems later.
so is there a trick that i'm not getting to pulling those plastic pins out? i really need to get these out to change my bulbs i have no low beams or daytime lights right now

The pins aren't that hard to get out. Put your flat head screwdriver under the the small head of the pins. Don't pry them out where the base of the pin meets the cover. If you can get them started, then you can pull the pin out with your fingers or just use a pair of pliers. I hope this helps. If you need any more help with this, feel free to send me a message!
