coat on.? What kind should I buy/ right now the primer is black and I want it to be the same color. Ultimate finish will be black as well. I just want to buy a primer that will do the job without costing to much
Priming a car is not just putting a new coat of primer on it but a full process of cleaning and sanding the primer coat you put on the car. If you are getting ready to put a coat of paint on the car then you should work with an alcohol based cleaner and the current coat you have should be good enough. It is also a fact that driving or letting a car sit with primer on it is terrible for the bodywork that you may have done because it absorbs water causing it to rapidly start the rusting process. Get the car painted as soon as possible after priming this time.
