grand am? I need to remove the door panel to replace the front speakers. It has manual windows i can't get the door panel off.,

Take any screws or bolts out of the door handle area, there may be plastic plugs covering them. Take the plastic cover under the inside door handle off if it's screwed on. Take a screwdriver and pry the bottom of the interior panel off. Work the panel loose all the way up on each side and finally pop it loose on the top edge. Remove the connectors from the lock switches etc. You may need new panel retainers if they break upon removal.

they sell a tool to remove the clip that holds the window crank on.... BUT if you have a shop rag, slide that under the side with the knob and work that in there and it will pop that clip off enough where that crank will come right off there....
also, plastic rivets....
they sell a tool for that 2, and i would recommend buying that because if you don't, you will break most of the rivets, but if that is out of the question, you could use to butter knives to try to pry them out.... good luck

you need a specific tool to get the handle off the window crank, we went cheap and I got a guy to hold the panel out while I squeezed the speaker in, it was a pain in the a$$, try to find the panel tool.
