The reason they are on is that they are a safety feature and I'm pretty sure on that car that they cannot be turned off. Ford has them on their new cars and you cannot turn them off.
I feel you on that. I think daytime running lights are stupid and a waste or energy. Google it. There is a awebsite that tell you how to disable it on all vehicles. You gotta go in ur fuse box and figure out which out to remove
go under your dash and you will see a cluster of wires and connectors...its left of your clutch...and you find the connector with the only BLUE wire...not teal, not aqua..blue!
you cut that then you ground the cut wire to your scanner inlet. plug everything back in..and no more drl's
