how do you turn off the security system in a 2001 pontiac grand AM?

I just won't start. It will try to but it don't turn over all the way. HELP!

I believe you put the key in and turn it to the run position for about 15 minutes.

just take the fuse out of the ignition and it will reset allowing you to start the engine..if not wait about 3-5mins till it goes away.
