How fast can a clutch in a pontiac fiero "burn out"? I drove from denver to co springs,...

...difficult shifter! No problem with the brakes or clutch, just hard to shift the gears with the handle.

are you pushing pedal alway to floor ? and still have hard shift ? on 1 to 2 or 2 to 3 you nned lube shift cable and cross shaft in rear under engine trans also check for worn out link on cross over is what moves 2 to 3 4 to 5 these wear out lots and can make diffacult shifting also check joint under front get rusty

It depends how you drive... how many miles there have been... any previous owners use... many factors... If it's hard to shift into gears with the stickshift, then the problem may not be directly related to the clutch. Would recommend just getting it checked out by someone you can count on.
