...93-02? Alright so after long hours of research I came to the conclusion that installing a turbo might not be worth it. From my readings it apparently can kill your engine within only 25,000 miles! Is this true? Apparently at about 7 PSI to say a LS-1 is to much stress and will cut back the life of the engine and it will cost a lot more than the 5,000 unit price of just the parts because your car will need extensive modifications to support the turbo now. Does anyone have any advice, or experience with this? Is this true?

Actually a normally driven STS turbo kit will NOT drasticly reduce the life of the engine..
the only way it would effect the engine life would be if it was constantly in boost which in most cases it wont ...

I agree with Goatman. It will not drastically reduce the life of the engine, but you are definitely adding a little bit of stress to your engine. Your engine was not built with the intention of running a turbo(ie. reduced compression ratio, etc.), but that doesn't mean you can't do it. After all isn't that what Hot Rodding was all about trying to push the limits of what the manufacturers would give us. Also, if you do decide to turbo an engine that was not designed for a turbo keep it at a respectable level of boost(under 10psi) and you should be fine.
