How long did your Pontiac Grand Am last before you considered it totally dead? And what problems did

you have? with it?
Yup, i know that ticking sound, I have it.

my mama had a ticking sound and it stoped then lke two days after her car quit

My 1991 Grand Am is the best car i have ever owned-still running to this day!!!!! So that's what 16yrs

well there are some issues the car has. for example GM cant make a good wheel bearing. so the ABS light comes on when its going bad.

also the lower intake manifold gasket tends to go after about 75k miles.

the turn signal switch causes a clicking noise, but that has a recall.

last thing i can think of is the blower resistor motor goes out. its cheap and easy to replace but what happens is the a/c heater doesnt work on 1 and 2.

all cars have problems. honda, toyota, ford, they've all got problems. the good thing about the Grand Am is that the parts are normally cheap. mine has 75k miles on it and its still going strong.

good luck
