The body kits run around $4000 for the body kit itself. Then just as a guess I would figure around another $1000 to get the frame strengthened (so you can cut the roof off.) and any other assembly parts. Paint job will run $2500 and up depending on how prepped the body is and what quality of paint job you want.
Aside fro the cost of the kit, everything else is just an estimate because you can go for high quality options or lower cost options. As an example: full leather seats and leather covered dash vs. less expensive vinyl coverings.

honestly in my opinion i wouldn't make a replica out of your car. since its an '88 and a GT with a 5 speed its a rare car and will be worth more money as is
