I bought the car about 6 months ago and I only paid $1000 for it. I know for a $1000 I shouldnt expect to have an outstanding car but it has run good up untill now. I took it to the machanic and he said it would be about $1000 for me to fix it. Is that about normal pricing for this or should it be less? And should I even fix the car?
It blew because it overheated. Due to the cap to the water tank being off and that it had a crack in it. They replaced the water tank because they saw it had a crack and when they drove it it still was over heating so the concluded that it was the head gasket. They said the cap was left off of the water tank and all the water evaporated out of it I guess.

young lady a 1000 for 6 months use sounds about right it has been my experience that these cars are prone to blowing head gaskets and unless in great condition not worth fixing-the engines are weak and the finnish of car is sub standard in my opinion-it has either the 3100 or 3800 motor both crappy engines
