Pontiac Solstice? I went to a Pontiac dealer located in NY. The Pontiac Solstice was a 2008 model, MSRP $25,440. The dealer said he'll drop $1000 making it $24,440. So how much should I negotiate for? What's the mark-up on the car? Some numbers would be appreciated...
Ok, it's the regular, not GXP. GXP is quite expensive. I'm not trading anything in for it, I plan on financing. I don't see how GXP would be a better buy in price wise...

Go to edmunds.com and check the true market value. since you didnt say which model (base or gxp) i can't tell you.

Don't even buy one unless you get the GXP! You are going to pay a bit less than MSRP.

The GXP has 270 Horsepower. The Reg. has like 170. The price sounds about right being that the MSRP is about 22,000 bucks. So you have a deal there. What options come with it?

MSRP is usually marked WAY up.
Check Kelly Blue Book if you were to trade it in right now; and negotiate a price about 1/2 way between that amount and the $24,440.

The Pontiac Solstice has been going for MSRP or over since it's introduction, depending on the time of year. You should be more than happy with any discount. I suggest running down to the dealer and getting it, it will be over MSRP come spring.
