...Maaco in New Jersey? I found 2 cars I want, both the same, but different years and different features: a 1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am and a 1978 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. I want to get the 1977 since it just needs a new coat of paint (it was silver but it was repainted blue). How much would I pay to get it repainted back to silver and get the emblems chromed at Maaco in New Jersey? Or to repaint it blue, since only the hood is silver and it has a tiny bit of surface rust on the hood.

If you want it to look nice, go to a better place. Buy new emblems, it is cheaper to buy new than have them rechromed.

the car is not the question.
surface area is. and since both are equal a basic paint job will cost the same.
if you just wan a simple fresh coat of paint laid down the cost isn't to bad.
but if you want them to strip off the existing paint, prime it, paint it, then clearcoat it...your talkin a grand plus.

Martino, Anthony A. Company (Maaco)? Really? They'll rough it up with some 600 wet/dry, mask poorly and throw the paint on thick for a few hundred. I doubt they'll chrome anything. Find yourself a body shop that really puts time into work. Sorry, I'm not a fan of Maaco, unless it's simple collision work.
