How much would it cost to fix the timing chain on a 2002 Pontiac Sunfire?

I only need the timing chain fixed. No other extra parts. How much would the chain cost plus labor?

my first question is why would a 2002 need a timing chain already? What prompted this repair? The reason I ask is a few sunfires I have worked on (and owned) have never needed this repair and they are high mileage cars (200,000+) Please advise what engine you have in your car and who said a timing chain is needed and from what diagnostics.
