through State farm? Im only 15 and my dad has a 1986 firbird trans am that he would like me to have ( Which is really nice of him to do). we live in southeast texas, about 70 miles north of houston and i was wondering if that would be too expensive for me. Im gonna get a job at walmart when i turn 16 and i might make more money than most teens applying for a job at walmart. (because i have a sis and my mom have worked there for a long time and have been known to be hard workers). so do you guys think i can handle paying the insurance or get another car that's just cheap.

Go to state farm with you dad (since you would be under his policy) and then the agent will figure it out after asking you what you grades are in school (for the one discount) and then the agent will look back on your families past driving record and if it is good you can get another discount. they have alot of discount opportunities. I was there just on Monday to see about a 1993 trans am and it would have been $67 per month and $404 every six months. Although one of the discount I got were that of the safety features which only start in 1993 (airbags, abs, etc.)
