My engine keeps overheating. We repleaced the thermostat and one of the hoses and we have determined it is probably air that needs to be bled out. My dad, who is a mechanic (lol), accidently broke up the little tiny air bleeding cap that is on one of the pipes/hoses near the engine. But a co-worker told him he can jack one side of the water tank/car up for the air to come out, but he doesn't remember which side. Does anyone know?

I had the same problem and my bleeder screw was also broken. Start the car with the radiator cap off and heater on full blast, let it warm up. Once the thermostat opens, the air should escape out the top of the overflow tank where you took off the radiator cap. Once it stops bubbling, or if your car gets too hot shut the engine off, and let any other bubbles escape if necessary. Replace the cap and let the engine cool, and refill with dex cool...be generous... this fixed my problem. I actually performed this last night and today and my car is running cooler than it has in years. It'll work just give it a try.

p.s. coolant may boil over thats normal and make sure that heater is on!
