On my 2004 Montana EXT, when I turn on the high beams, my driving lights will shut off. Anyone know how to override this, as I want my driving lights to stay on for those dark roads.....

When you say driving lights you mean fog lights ? If so I believe in the us there is some law that says this is illegal ,not sure how its worded but they dont want extra lights on with the high beams ?? I know its stupid cause it does not blind the on coming drivers.

Yes, the lower fog/driving lights, and officially you are not supposed to run them at the same time. Strangely enough, the laws also state that you cannot have more than 4 lights on at the same time on the front of a car.... So, the Montana can have the high beams on (2 bulbs) plus the fog lights (the other 2). Even with the high beams and fogs on together, combined they JUST provide decent light on a really dark road. Thats why I want them bypassed. I'm thinking the the fog light relay may have an alternate wire to it that shuts down the relay when the high beams are turned on?

Yea I think your going in the right direction with the relay, and it would be great to get both working together .

I did it on our van where the fog's are engaged all the time. It would be nice to have both Low beam ON when High Beam is engaged. But i guess since its a dual filament bulb it can't really work out... could get too hot. There is post on this form that talks about fogs on during high beam.
