hey guys i am new here. i have a 1994 pontiac sunbird LE 2.0liter auto

90k original miles on it.

i was doing 45mph when the car stalled and it still cranks over . it was still starting up if i gave it gas but now it just cranks.

im guesing fuel pump?

i need help here guys . how do i do this? it is an in tank pump correct?

first do a fuel pressure test and make sure you dont have a clogged filter. Do you hear the pump make noise when you turn the key to the run position?

i have checked the fuse. it is good. i checked to make sure the relay is working and yes the pump turns on when i hit the key.

what else could cause these symptoms?

what is the fuel pressure?

UPDATE ........i replaced the fuel filter because it was only 13$...it still does not start.

than i disconnected the line to the fuel pump. turned the key for 2 seconds and the pump is still good because it shot gas out like a rocket.

now what?...

what would cause me to not get spark? because i pulled the plugs and they are clearly getting gas

Did you check fuses related to the ignition system? Did you check if voltage is going to the coil packs? Does you check engine light stay lit?

Also pull the curved cover under the steering column ( just yank it its clipped on ) and check the red ignition wires to see if they are burnt or tapped into. Happened to me last week and left me stranded for half an hour till I figured it out. ( no spark )Also check the ignition switch itself mounted on the column to see if its toast.
