Um Im thinking of replacing by myself even though I dont know much about cars.. just wondering if its a few steps if someone knows how!

It's a fairly long process, requireing a Torque Wrench to tighten

I would suggest you go to the auto parts store, and purchase a repair manual for your car ( about 20.00) there is a whole chapter on removeing and replacing the head on your car, with a list of tools needed....

You need to drain the coolant,
disconnect the battery,
remove the intake manifold,
remove the exhaust manifold,
remove the valve cover,
remove the timing cover,
remove the waterpump,
remove the timing belt,
remove the head,
remove the old gasket,
clean everything,
install new head gasket,
install the new head and properly torque the head bolts in the correct order,
then re-install everything you removed with new gaskets. (You will need new intake, exhaust, water pump and valve cover gaskets as well.)

Fel-Pro makes a gasket kit that has all the new gaskets you will need. Part number is: FPHS9188PT1

and here is a pic of all gaskets that are needed:
