How would you replace the valve cover gasket on a 96 camaro/firebird 3.8?

there seems to be a small oil leak from the valve cover and wanted to know how difficult it is on the f-bodies to replace

You should have taken a good look at your engine by now. I find the claims of "one hour" and "easy" hard to believe. Everything has to be carefully moved to provide clearance. The covers have to be raised a good bit to clear the rocker train. "Easy" might apply to a straight 6 in a '66 pickup but not here.

purchase a chiltons manual at a parts store for about 20 bucks and and the gasket for about the same. the book will walk you through it step by step. should take about an hour for a firts timer. good luck

We're talking rocker covers, not heads. Dunno if there's really THAT much more than on my engine... which is where you remove the PCV hose, crankcase breather element, and oil fill tube... then remove the bolts that hold it on.

Definently check Autozone's website for their repair guides
