Humming noise

I have a 1999 Trans Am WS6 LS1. After a long drive around town when I stop and start up again I get this humming like blowing noise coming from under the hood. Wondering what on earth this could be?

Have you tried using a rubber hose, hold one end near your ear and move the other end around the engine compartment till you find the source of the noise.

It could be your fan,as it runs after you shut off the engine if the temperature is above a certain degree.
