i got a 1986 pontiac fiero and the heat gauge does not work and rpm gauge

The temp gauge probably has a broken needle. (It's loose on the shaft)

For the tach, There is a little can near the distributor with a white wire. This is the tach filter. Due to heat and age they can go bad. The Fiero Store sells a replacement: www.fierostore.com
