...find the OHMS reading please help? I seem to be getting a negative reading with the DMM set on 20K which is what I believe to be he correct setting OMG I have been at this for three weeks now can someone please help me.....

A negative reading shows up on a DMM when you're measuring DC volts. Are you sure you're measuring ohms? Will have the greek omega sign on the selector knob. If you reverse the DMM leads when measuring, if you're measuring volts, the negative reading should go away. Check the DMM by touching the leads together. Should read like 2 ohms to 0 ohms.
