I have a 1986 pontiac Fiero which which i want to restore, how much time/money would...

...it take? I want to restore it but im not sure if i should, is there anything i should look for on the vehicle before i make an attempt to restore it? It is a 1986 2m4 5 speed model.

Restoration costs depend a lot on how far or extreme you want to take things - from a show-quality restoration to just a general clean-up fix-up paint-up meant for daily driver use.

Unless the car has some very special sentimental value to you - suggest to look around at what those cars are bringing as far as sale values - not sure if they've reached the big-buck collector status. It's very easy to put more into a vehicle than it's worth.

IMO, I don't like to get upside-down in a vehicle - where I have more invested in it than it could bring on resale. But, the decision is ultimately up to you.
