I have this 1991 Firebird that i have bought, it didn't start up right so i did a lot things to try to fix it. Like replacing the EGR Valve, giving the car a full tuneup and replacing the MAP sensor. The car runs perfectly and idols perfectly only when the MAP sensor isn't connected and it won't go into drive or reverse because it just dies, but the engine light would come on and i got the codes and it said the MAP sensor is not connected or broken. So... i plug the MAP back in and I try to turn on the car and i can't keep the car running and there is no engine light. I have no idea what the problem is.

did you consider you may have an idle air control problem or throttle position sensor
