I have a 1992 Pontiac Sunbird and it runs the only problem is that it doesn't want to...

...pull? My car doesn't want to pull it takes an hour to get to 30 mph. What could be the problem?
 
have you checked the level of transmission fluid.although it could be other problems, but it sounds like you have transmission problems.check the fluid level by removing the transmission dip stick with the engine running.if the level is low add as stated.or if its OK.maybe you need the transmission serviced,such as having the screen cleaned etc.a auto with little or no transmission fluid will not pull,if it does it will be slow and is bad on the transmission.the transmission is what causes the car to move,it is powered by the motor.so do a fast,simple check on that. then go from there.
