...system, but still the ac will not work? the compressor will not engage even when I jump the system. I have tried all settings with AC. Even defrost on with ac still the compressor will not come on. I used a test light and it seems to be getting power. Any ideas???

The compressor is bad. Check that, and if that isn't the prediciment, then go to a parts store, and have them check it.

you cannot recharge the AC with freon unless the compressor is running so how the hell did you do it??
There is a low freaon safety on the compressor to prevent it . did you bypass the safety to fill it??
And the compressor will never come on until there is freon in it under normal operating circumstances.
