I have a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am and a hose came off with with broken tube...

...inside, what is this tube? Its the hose going from the firewall(wall seperating dash and engine) to the housing where the thermotat is held, can i buy the one piece or does something have to replaced completely

sounds like the fitting to your heater core broke,you may need to replace the core

it sounds like the tube to heater core . try going to your local scrap yard or junk yard which ever name you like .

they more than likely have the part at the fraction of the cost of the dealers cost

is it leaking? if so...is it leaking inside the car or in the engine bay?
