I have a 2000 pontiac sunbird that is possessed, nothing works inside the instrument...

You do realize that Pontiac stopped making the Sunbird in 1994, so I am assuming you mean Sunfire. In any event, Sounds like a relay to me. I had a similar problem with a Hyundai I owned. The bad news is a dealership can fix this best. The good news is that it is often not expensive to repair, about one hour of labor and parts of about $50 for an estimated grand total of about $125 Also remember the same parts used on your Sunfire are for a Chevy Cavalier.
