I have a 2001 Pontiac sunfire that sometimes will go very slow when I push on the

gas? The accelerator will be pushed to the floor and the car will only go 3 or 4 miles an hour. After I pull over and let the car sit for a bit, while revving up the engine, the car acts normally. This happens with the engine is both hot and cold. I just had the fuel injectors clean, but this doesn't seem to help any. Also, my check engine light just came on.

Suggest to get the fault code(s) pulled from the computer. This may help shed some light on the problem, as well as eliminate guess work.
