...fit it into my Pontiac Sunfire.? If so would the stock cooling system being able to hold up, or would I need to upgrade.
 
I doubt if you would be able to make it fit .. the 4.3 is a 90* v/6 and the sunfire is not designed to take that size engine ...
plus the 4.3 is set up for rear wheel drive not front wheel drive like the sunfire , things like the oil pan and exhaust would not fit ..
 
I'm not saying it won't fit, because people have put the 3800 V^ and even a Cadillac Northstar V8 into a Cavalier, but it takes a lot of time, money and fabrication. One of your bigest problems is going to be finding a transaxle that has the proper bolt pattern to match up to the 4.3.

If you really want a V6 in your Cavalier, I would recommend either using the 3400 or the supercharged 3800 V6. These have been done before and there is a lot of information on how to do this.
