...chokes,can anyone help? I have an 81 Pontiac Firebird and it has a 355 sbc with a Carter QuadraJet 4B that has a manufacture date of 1978 and rebuilt by holly tag but i don't know when, i got the car like this, it starts but idles ruff and when i try to rev it up it starts to choke and it at times back fires out the carb. i replaced the plugs,wires, coil, and fuel pump, the cap and rotor is fine and cant keep it running. I was told to try loosening the distributor and move it around while running it and giving a little throttle but it had little effect.I'd like to cruise for the summer can anyone help me?!
