im looking for a new motor for my car. its a 86 trans am. what is the biggest i can put into it? i wanna try to put a corvette enging into it. but im not sure if it will fit or not anyone know?

Any of the Gen 1 Chevrolet small block V8s will bolt in with few modifications. I have seen these as large as 427 cubic inches in the mid 500 horse power range. I think you can find them even larger, but not much larger in the small block Chevy.
I have seen big blocks (502) in these. But the people who did the work had to get creative.
