I have a 94 firebird that has always been hard to start. I had spark plugs and wires and such changed. I've had sensors changed. I've had fuel pump and filter changed. When you first start it, it will take a few times to get it started. After that you can turn it off and start it the first try. I've had it put on a computer, and nothing came up. When fuel pump was changed, it seemed to start right up then went right back to hard starting. I've had fuel pressure checked and was told it's fine. What can be wrong?

Could be that your fuel pump relay is out, and not priming the system. When you turn the key to run, you should be able to hear the fuel pump run for a few seconds.

Another possibility is that one or more of the injectors is leaking - essentially draining the fuel rail down. Also, the fuel rail bypass valve could have a problem.

In the 'for what it's worth' category - it's a habit of mine to roll the key to ON until the fuel pump charging cycle completes, then roll the key to START. Seems to help, especially if the vehicle has been parked a few days.
