i have a 99 grand am GT and can any one tell me y when i turn the heat on fumes come

could be a heater core leak, have you checked the fluid level when cold?
 
It's more of an exuast smell , the cat was pluged so I fixed that today , still when I turn the heat on it blows exhaust fumes and I have to roll with the window down ,, and it's getting cold
 
The only way exhaust gets into incoming ventilation is from a leaking exhaust pipe. Did you check the coolant level?

Coolant level is full , it's like driving me crazy I never had no problem like this ever:(
 
Check the resonator of the exhaust, seen a few Pontiacs running around with the seam rotted out (replaced mine about a month and a half ago).
