I have a 99 pontiac grand am SE and when i try to take of it will try and shut off ?

HI I have a 99 pontiac Grand AM SE and when i try and take of it it is like it wants to shut of anyone know what that might be it only happend once now but i never tried driving it yet again I dont want to get stranded anywhere

It could be lots of things. When is the last time the car had a tuneup to start with?
