I know nothing about cars. My husband is in Iraq and of course this happens to me know. The car ran out of gas and stopped on the highway. I put more gas in it but it still wouldn't do anything. I was told to put a little gas in the carberator but I have no idea where that is. Please help asap. Before it gets towed!

Cars by 1999 did NOT use carburetors. You mean the throttle body. It is basically where the 5 inch flex tube connect from the airbox (air filter box) to the engine.

Don't use gasoline. Get some starter fluid.

Good Luck....

you shouldn't have a carburetor. it's fuel injection.

If the fuel pump is working, the fuel system should prime itself. You may have burned up the pump when it ran out of gas. When you turn the key on, you should hear the pump run for a couple of seconds.
