I have an '01 Pontiac Grand Am. The fuel pump has gone out 3 times in the past 6

months. Why does this happen? We've changed the fuel pump the first two times had it put in the shop last time! Is there something I should know about a Grand Am's fuel pump? Anyone else have this problem with this type of car?

Make sure there is a full 12 volts to the pump. Also check the grounds. The filter was changed, right?
