I have the opportunity to purchase a 1993 pontiac grand am but not sure if

I should buy(private sale from co w? has 188,000 km needs muffler and a lot of small things I can fix my self but the car has some rust spots and not sure if it is worth restoring as it is only $350.00 and tires are like new with no tire wear and the oil is clean.
I don,t need the car but am i just wasting my money and time?
what would you do as I can do all the maintance and repairs my self but limited to body rust repair success.

only $350? something aint right. theres gotta be hidden engine troubles. have a mechanic look at it. if its in sound condition, take it.
