it takes dexron VI. gm's synthetic trans fluid. there is a bolt on the underside of the trans u have to pull to check the fluid level. if you feel you need the fluid changed. you can always do it yourself with a pan pull. i do believe the gasket is reusable. or take it somewhere to get it flushed. usually runs around $100 or less to get it done. just make sure that dex VI is used.
i have a 2006 3.5 g6.. on the user manual states that there is no tranny dip stick or anything.. it just says if theres any leaks or time for a change u can take it to a dealer. i had the same problem.. i looked for about 30 min for a tranny dip stick to check the level of the tranny oil.. then i decided to finally read the manual.
