Idle surge in park

Hello! Just recently bought an 87 fiero with the 2.5 (rebuilt) and auto trans. Had a substantial idle surge so I checked for vacuum leaks with carb cleaner, changed battery, IAC, EGR(ac delco), PCV, fuel filter, and spark plugs. The idle surge is now intermittent and not as pronounced as it was but is still there. The surge is primarily just when the car is in "park". The oil pressure gauge does jump between 40 & 60 while the surging is occuring.
I have noticed that when I turn the key on the fuel pump primes for about 4 seconds instead of 2. Sometimes if I turn the key on and off a couple times before starting the surge is less likely to occur. I have also noticed when I add an electrical draw(turn signals on) I can here the fuel pump change sounds in corrolation with the blinkers.
Before dropping the tank & changing the pump I was wondering if there was any ideas you might have.
This car is from the west coast and is in pristine shape. This idle surge is the only thing that has me a bit baffled.
Thanks alot!

Check your fuel pressure. It may be a little too low at idle.
It should be around 11 or 12 psi at idle. If it's lower, The pump may be going bad.
