Two weeks ago I replaced my alternator. Everything was fine. the other night I was going up a hill and my speed was decreasing then they car turned off. I thought it was my fuel pump. We changed the fuel pump, fuel filter, and even the fuel pump relay switch and it STILL won't start..I have no idea what's wrong and it,also the guys don't know! I need help... anyone have any ideas?? also you can send me an e-mail at xxmystceyexx at yahoo. I'm at my last straw I need my car.. Please help.
Oops!! It's a 1998. 2.2 lt
Also we have fire, and he said there is no gas on the spark plugs?

Did you check the fuel pressure before you put in the new fuel pump? Last fall, I went through two new Autozone fuel pumps before I got one that actually worked. Since it died while you were driving, my first guess would be a bad crank sensor. I would have someone put an OBD2 scanner on it and check for trouble codes before I spent any additional money.

If u turn the key on and nothing happens, check battery and cables
If ur motor turns over but doesnt start, it could be ur starter. U mike have to change out ur solenoid. If not that it could be the alternator, maybe it was wired wrong.
